Synonyms
Synomyms are scientific names used for this species that are not valid any more. It can be because someone described the same species collected at a new site and gave it a new name. It could also be that 2 previous species have been lumped together.
Local names
Names in different languages apart from Scientific names.
Origin
A text tells in what countries and where the species has been collected. A map shows the APPROXIMATE position for the collection site.
Head shape
I've tried to divide the different species into 4 groups of head shapes: round, wedge, long-concave and long-convex.
Water type
There are three main water types: White, Black and Clear. If I've been able to find out what type of water it lives in, it is listed.

The pH level were the fish feel the best.
Alcalinity
Mainly the carbonate hardness, that regulates the pH level. Can be measured in KH.
Total hardness
The total hardness of the water (TH or GH).
Eggs
The largest number of eggs I've found recorded.
Egg size
Normal egg size.
Fry length
Fry length at hatching.

Has been bred
Whether the fish has been bred or not in an aquarium, as far as I know.
